My final year project (Network Engineering @ Staffordshire University) has recently meant that I’ve been experimenting with low-cost storage networking protocols. The first of these has been ATA over Ethernet. Given that some may be a little new to storage networking in general, and indeed unsure of how simple it can be to make this work in today’s Linux environments; I thought it may be helpful if I wrote a short how-to.
